Objectives : The Sciences for Engineers License is a general, multidisciplinary license. The first two years are common to all students. In the third year, four courses are offered:
- Electronics, Automatic Control and Information Processing (EATI) - Aeronautical Systems or Automobile Systems Option: acquisition of scientific and technical skills relating to electrical systems, automation and digital systems.
- Mechanical Engineering (GM) - Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design option: acquisition of scientific and technical skills within the discipline of mechanics and mechanical engineering.
- Industrial Systems Engineering (ISI) - Aeronautical or Industrial Robotics Industry Option: acquisition of scientific and technical skills in multi-technical systems, production management and project management.
- Engineering Sciences - Apprenticeship (FA): this apprenticeship course combines a common foundation and a set of elective lessons from the first three courses, meeting the expectations of students and individualized according to the missions in companies.
The course takes place over three years after the baccalaureate, parallel admissions being possible in the second and third years of the License.
Public concerned : Students, employees, unemployed
Degree Level (EU) : 6 - (EQC level or equivalent)
Admission requirements : The diplomas giving the right to apply depend on the desired entry level, but must all come from the scientific or technological field: Bac (general or professional), Bac + 1 or Bac + 2 (CPGE, GUT, BTS or any training deemed equivalent) . Possibility of Validation of Studies, VAE and VAP.
Foreign students under the CEF procedure must inquire with Campus France for their procedures (http://www.campusfrance.org/fr/page/procedure-cef-consulte-votre-dossier).
First year: application on Parcoursup open to scientific and / or technological graduates, or professional under conditions; other possible applications under conditions (contact the school).
Second and third years: application on file on the Ecandidat platform (https://candidature.univ-evry.fr/ecandidat).
For any information concerning the admission conditions and the required diplomas, contact the license secretariat:

Prerequisites : Depending on the entry level (1st, 2nd or 3rd year).
General or professional, scientific or technological training; English.
Acquired skills during the training : The transversal skills provided by the SPI License are:
- Mobilize concepts in mathematics and physics to tackle problems specific to different industrial fields
- Identify the role and the field of application and the professional fields of science for the engineer in all sectors: natural environments, industrial environments, transport, urban environments, etc.
- Implement methods and tools necessary for the work of the engineer (validate a model; isolate, study, design a system)
- Use digital reference tools and IT security rules to acquire, process, produce and disseminate information as well as to collaborate internally and externally
- Use data for analysis purposes (identify, select, analyze, synthesize, develop an argument)
The scientific and technical skills brought by the courses are:
- EATI course: electrical systems (electronics, signal processing, electrical engineering, electric actuators and power converters); automatic (analysis and identification of linear systems, synthesis of controllers, continuous / discrete control); digital systems (hardware, software technologies, microprocessors, networks ...)
- GM course: mechanics (in modeling and dimensioning of the deformable and undeformable solid, in modeling of mechanical systems (kinematics and dynamics), in digital modeling and simulation (finite element methods, Modal Analysis, practice of the Ansys calculation code); mechanical engineering (in mechanical design, manufacturing methods and processes, CAD modeling, numerical control, classification of design materials and their thermal and chemical treatments).
- ISI course: multi-technical systems (electrical and electronic engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering), production management and project management.
- FA course: the skills mentioned in the previous courses, depending on the subjects chosen by the students.
Specialization is progressive. The first two years are common to all courses in Engineering Sciences. Their objective is to acquire fundamental knowledge in science and technology, and pertaining to multi-technical systems (mechanical, electronic, automatic and computer engineering). The third year includes more specific lessons on their application to products and services in the sectors targeted by the options. Finally, learning English is compulsory and evaluated, and this every semester.
The assessment includes biannual terminal exams and continuous assessment: practical work, construction work and study work, documentary research, projects. It can be written or oral, or combine both modes.
Bridges are possible for a reorientation in Professional License
Targeted careers : The trades which graduates of the AE License can claim are (INSEE nomenclature):
473c Manufacturing and quality control technicians in electricity, electromechanics and electronics
474c Manufacturing and quality control technicians in mechanical engineering and metalworking
475a Research and development technicians and production methods in the processing industries
475b Production and quality control technicians in the processing industries
477b Technicians for the installation and maintenance of industrial equipment
Duration and terms : The course takes place over three years after the baccalaureate, parallel admissions being possible in the second and third years of the License.
Each year of the License is organized into Teaching Groups which each group different subjects. The lessons are given in the form of Courses, Tutorials, Practical Works and Supervised Projects. The lessons are evaluated by continuous checks and exams. A significant effort is made on pedagogy (many practical works) on the monitoring and support of each student in the training.
Notes : Over 90% of permanent teachers carry out research activities in one of the two laboratories associated with the UFR of Sciences and Technologies (LMEE and IBISC). They work on air and road transport issues, on launchers, on aeronautical and space robotics, in the following disciplines: optimization, modeling and simulation, automatic and signal processing, on-board IT. Strong partnerships have been developed with CNES, Eurocopter, ONERA, the École des Mines de Paris, the ICARE laboratory, IFFSTAR. The training benefits from the support of the Paris Saclay Campus establishments involved in the mention of a master's degree.
The university is a training operator for its outside CFA (AGESUP) and hosts a Start up and CRT incubator, some of which come from the UFR S&T. She is a member of the ESI (formerly PSEVS), an interdisciplinary pole bringing together players in higher education and research in the Evry region around research, training and innovation; it brings together our university, the Genopole, the CHSF, TSP, TEM, the Materials Center and the ENSIIE.
The mention is part of the Paris Saclay Campus, in a master’s mention bringing together the ECP, the ENS Cachan, SUPMECA, the University of Paris Sud, the ENSTA. The University of Evry-Val-d'Essonne is a founding member of PRES UniversSud Paris. She joined the IDEX Campus Paris Saclay.
The university chairs the thematic area Employment, Training & Research of the ASTech Paris Region Competitiveness Cluster, and is a member of CIRAS of Versailles. She is co-founder of the aerosynergie aeronautical training network (public and private establishments in Ile de France, representatives of GIFAS, FNAM, the Air Force, the Region and the Rectorates of Ile de France). An agreement binds us with the Alexandre Denis de Cerny high school and the CFA for air crafts (pooling of technical resources and teachers). These actions are supported by Air France Industries.
Collaborations have been set up with ONERA, Bertin Technologies, Roxel and EADS, as well as engineering schools such as ISAE, ESTACA and IPSA, initiated around the PERSEUS project piloted by CNES. A multi-party framework agreement associates us with these companies and schools around common training and research activities.
The UFR S&T has specific resources specific to its aeronautical activities: ULM and mini-drone construction workshop, light aircraft and helicopter maintenance workshop, avionics laboratory, experimental rocket construction workshop in partnership with CNES .
The establishment offers its students the opportunity to learn how to pilot light aircraft: it prepares for the theoretical tests of the PPL, and has a flight simulator for light aircraft.
