Objectives : The NPAC course trains students in research in nuclear physics, particle physics, astroparticles and cosmology. Its objective is to prepare students to begin an experimental or theoretical thesis in large research organizations such as the CNRS, universities or the CEA.
This training provides the fundamentals of the physics of the infinitely small and that of the infinitely large. On the one hand, it involves studying the physics of elementary particles, their fundamental interactions as well as their assemblies in atomic nuclei and the properties of these nuclei. On the other hand, students work on understanding the universe, its geometry, its content in dark matter and dark energy. They are also made aware of the cosmic messengers that are astroparticles and which can also provide answers to some of these still open questions.
