Course Details

Objectives : The CLEANER course (Combustion, emission limitation, new energies and resources) provides all the knowledge necessary for high specific power energy conversion applications (in the field of land, air and space transport; and production of electricity and heating based on chemical energy). The problems of scarcity of primary resources and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions are considered. Physics, modelling and simulation, with questions on the global energy balances of energy conversion including alternative resources, fundamental aspects of the combustion of alternative fuels and discussions on new combustion modes are the key words of the training. This teaching is balanced between an in-depth theoretical component, applied via digital projects on CEDRE (ONERA), Matlab and GERRIS, and experimental projects.
