Objectives : Provide advanced training in the field of Space Systems Engineering.
Expand the analytical capacity and knowledge of students in the aspects that govern the conception and design of a spatial system:
space environment
orbital mechanics
attitude control
thermal control
Spatial mechanisms and structures
Materials, power system
Data management and processing systems
Communications
compatibilities
reliability
As well as the integration process of the different subsystems in a spatial system.
The Master's Degree in Space Systems (MUSE) has received the final accreditation renewal report with a favorable result. This decision of the Madri+d Foundation confirms that the Master is taught in compliance with the established quality criteria.
After collecting documentation and evidence, the Higher Technical School of Aeronautical and Space Engineering presented the self-assessment report of the Master's Degree in Space Systems (MUSE) to the Madri+d Foundation. This involves an analysis of the degree of compliance with the quality standards established by the regional agency, in line with the national and European regulatory and cultural framework in terms of quality.
Project-based teaching (Project Based Learning). Teaching is practically and experimentally oriented.
Academic tutor assigned to each student.
Organized by the University Institute of Microgravity "Ignacio Da Riva" (IDR/UPM).
Participation in projects of a space nature in which the IDR/UPM works.
For the development of the MUSE, IDR/UPM has the availability of a space vehicle integral design center sponsored by the European Space Agency (Concurrent Design Facility), as well as an advanced facility for integration and testing in the space environment.
Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)
Duration and terms : 2 years (4 semesters, 120 ECTS).
International partnerships : Instituto Universitario de Microgravedad
