Objectives : The massive use of electronic components and systems in a very large number of industrial, military, medical or consumer products and equipment has led to the increasingly frequent appearance of harmful electromagnetic interference phenomena. to their proper functioning.
To limit these problems, standards on the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) of equipment have been developed, mandatory since January 1, 1996.
CEM has therefore become an essential discipline in its own right which has the particularity of being constantly evolving. Its mastery requires the understanding of all the physical phenomena of interaction in order to develop optimal solutions for the protection of complex systems vis-à-vis a disturbing electromagnetic environment.
The objective of the CEM course is to provide the student with the skills necessary to carry out a CEM project in all fields (telecommunications, automotive, aeronautics, civil and military fields, influence of electromagnetic radiation on health, etc.). More specifically, graduates must know how to manage all the technical aspects of an EMC project at the level of the study part (monitoring of standards, tests, use of software, design, implementation of protections), qualification and maintenance. industrial systems.
