Académie Spatiale de Défense
ASD
Presentation
Created on June 21, 2023, with GDA Philippe Adam (CDE, Space Command), GBA Pierre Réal (EAE- Air and Space School) and IGA Olivier Lesbre (ISAE-SUPAERO) .
To drive and implement the ambition of the Defense Space Strategy, the creation of a defense space expertise sector with attractive training courses constitutes a major challenge. In this regard, the Defense Space Academy (ASD) aims to offer the training available within the Ministry of the Armed Forces and to take advantage of the synergies between them to provide a personalized approach to space training.
A true expert from the Ministry in the field, the ASD makes it possible to provide targeted, high-level, diploma-leading and recognized training, ranging from internships, courses for adaptation to employment to diploma or qualification training from major engineering schools under supervision. of the ministry, thus contributing to the generation of expertise.
Created in 2023, the ASD is made up of three entities grouped into a consortium whose coordination is ensured on a rotating basis by one of the members: the Higher Institute of Aeronautics and Space (ISAE-SUPAERO), the Air and Space School (EAE) and the Military Space Operations Training Center (CFOSM) of the Space Command (CDE). This rapprochement makes it possible to offer a readable and common offer of teaching covering both the academic and operational aspects of the space field (scientific and technological skills for ISAE-SUPAERO, scientific and military skills for EAE, mastery of space operations for the CFOSM).
Open to interministerial and foreign partners, as well as other stakeholders in the field (CNES, ONERA, industrialists in the sector), the ASD represents one of the privileged vectors of learning in the field and also of exchanges and meetings with the academic and industrial world of the space ecosystem.
