Ingénieur en Matériaux : Mécanique et Energies

Course Details

Objectives : Present in all aspects of everyday life, materials contribute to improving our daily lives and are at the center of technological developments linked to sustainable development, energy, health and information and communication technologies. communication.

The skills acquired during the training concern a wide range of materials: polymers, composites, metal alloys, ceramics, intended for the sectors of mechanical engineering, metallurgy, transport, aeronautics, energy and the microelectronics.

Engineers from the "Materials: Mechanics and Energy" sector at Polytech Paris-Saclay are able to put into practice their theoretical, technical and application knowledge of the major classes of materials, in order not only to optimize the development processes, manufacturing and characterization. They are able to ensure the implementation and coordination of the operations necessary for a company quality approach.

Materials engineers work in all branches of industry. Their skills are in fact necessary when it comes to designing and producing an object: a vehicle, a mobile phone, a hip prosthesis, a windsurfing board, a nuclear reactor, etc.
