Objectives : The Master's degree in Aeronautics and Space is a mention of the University of Lyon, carried by the École Centrale de Lyon, offering a two-year program in Master 1 (M1) and Master 2 (M2). It proposes two courses, "Propulsion Aéronautique et Spatiale (PAS)" and "Dynamics and Durability of Composites (DDC)", after a common core in M1. Most of the courses are taught in English. The disciplinary fields concerned are the mechanics of fluids and energy, the mechanics of solids and structures, materials and automatism, training being backed by 3 major laboratories in Lyons: the LMFA, the LTDS and Ampère.
The goal is to train technical executives and to initiate researchers for the aeronautical industry, including the actors of the subcontracting of large groups such as SAFRAN and Airbus. Strong attention is therefore given during the training to make future graduates aware of the codes, languages ??and practices of this industry.
The latter is also intrinsically transnational, with a strong demand to work abroad in relation with France, or in France in relation with other countries, hence a predominant international openness in this training.
